JA Ignite 2025: A Breakthrough Night of Hope and Purpose

JA Ignite 2025 reminded us of something powerful: when a community shows up for young people, not even unexpected rain can get in the way.
What began as a rooftop celebration quickly became something else. When the weather forced a last-minute change, JA Ignite found a new home inside JA Finance Park. What could have felt like a disruption instead became a defining moment. Because of creativity, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart, the space transformed beautifully. As a result, the night felt meaningful from the very beginning.
From the moment guests arrived, the energy was clear. Supporters, sponsors, board members, alumni, and friends of Junior Achievement of Southern California gathered with a shared purpose. They came to celebrate students and invest in their futures. Rain or shine, this community showed up—and made the night unforgettable.

Student Stories That Made It All Real
One of the most powerful moments of the evening came from 3DE alumni from Crenshaw High School. Their stories brought the mission of JA to life in a very real way.
Mike Lopez, now studying at Cal State LA, Gabriel Perez, attending El Camino College, and Kaihla Rivas, also at Cal State LA, took the stage to share their journeys. They spoke about confidence gained, direction found, and learning to believe in themselves. These lessons stayed with them well beyond high school.
Their honesty filled the room with emotion. More importantly, their stories showed that JA’s impact does not stop at graduation. Instead, it continues forward, shaping how young people see themselves and what they believe is possible.

A Night Powered by Community
JA Ignite 2025 also showed what can happen when a community comes together. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, sponsors, and donors, the event surpassed its fundraising goal. In total, $146,000 was raised to support JA SoCal programs.
Those dollars translate directly into opportunity. They support financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship education for students across Southern California. Because of this support, students gain real-world skills, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward their futures—especially in communities where opportunity is not always guaranteed.

Thank You to Our Sponsors

Turning a Curveball Into Momentum
What made JA Ignite 2025 especially memorable was how everyone embraced the unexpected. The venue shift required flexibility, collaboration, and quick thinking. These are the same skills JA works to build in students every day.
By hosting Ignite inside JA Finance Park, the mission came full circle. Guests experienced the space where students learn by doing. In the end, the night served as a reminder: progress does not require perfect conditions. It requires people who are willing to adapt and keep moving forward..
