Play4JA offers a unique opportunity for corporate partners to support Junior Achievement of Southern California’s education programs through fun, team-building activities. Whether you prefer bowling, happy hour, movie screenings, virtual trivia, escape rooms, or any other exciting event, Play4JA has endless ppossibilities for your team!

Simple Steps to Get Started

  • Set a Fundraising Goal: Determine the amount you want to raise to support JA SoCal.
  • Choose an Event/Activity: Select a fun event that your team will enjoy, such as bowling, an escape room, happy hour, painting, or any other activity.
  • Personal Fundraising Pages: JA will set up customized Peer-to- peer fundraising pages for your team.
  • Start Fundraising: Begin your efforts to reach your goal by engaging friends, family, and colleagues.
  • Celebrate Together: Enjoy your chosen event and celebrate your success together!

Your Company’s Role

  • Select an Employee Coordinator: Appoint a team member to manage and oversee the fundraising efforts.
  • Strategize Fundraising Efforts: Plan and execute effective fundraising strategies.
  • Spread the Word: Inform family, friends, and colleagues about your cause and why you’re raising money for Junior Achievement.
  • Achieve Your Goal: Work together to meet or exceed your fundraising target.
  • Celebrate: Participate in a fun, slightly competitive event to mark your achievement.

How JASoCal Supports You

  • Partnership Planning: Collaborate with the JA SoCal Advancement Team to define your partnership level, set a fundraising goal (minimum $5k for a JA-hosted event), and choose your event date, time, and location.
  • Fundraising Setup: JA staff will assist your coordinator in creating your fundraising page, social media posts, office flyers, and fundraising protocols.
  • Event Coordination: On the day of your event, JA staff will ensure everything is perfectly set up at your chosen location.

    Companies set the fundraising goals and can choose to cover all expenses of the event so that 100% of the funds raised go directly to support JA. Alternatively, JASoCal will use the funds raised to pay for event expenses, which must not exceed 20% of the funds raised.
